Hey, I’m Sam! I’m a Baltimore native and realist painter with over 15 years of experience. I’m classically trained with a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, where I fell in love with plein air painting. I’ve been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember, even turning my first canvas. It’s always been my happy place…

I started live plein air painting in 2023, and it’s been such a joy bringing my studio out into the streets and sharing it with anyone who stops by my easel. Capturing the beauty of everyday life, your favorite BBQ spot, family homes, and meaningful places, is really at the heart of what I do.

In 2024, I began live wedding painting after my first bride found my work on a local community page, where I was sharing neighborhood pieces. That experience meant so much to me and made it clear this is exactly where I’m meant to be. I’m so grateful for all the places and people I’ve been able to paint, capturing moments of love, life, and happiness.

I feel incredibly lucky to do what I love and to create work that connects with families in such a personal way. Every day, I’m inspired to keep capturing the beauty and love that make up our lives.
